Acrophobia is more fun with friends. Here’s everything you can do to connect with other players.

Friends

Build your friends list to easily find and invite people to play.
  • Add friends by searching for their display name
  • Accept or decline incoming friend requests
  • See who’s online with real-time status indicators
  • Invite friends directly to your game room
  • View a Friends leaderboard to compete with people you know

Inbox & Direct Messages

Send and receive messages with other players.
  • DM threads — Start private conversations with any player
  • Game invites — Receive room invitations that you can tap to join instantly
  • Quick messages — Send preset phrases like “Join my game!”, “Good game!”, “Rematch?”, and more
  • Mark all read — Clear all unread notifications at once

Global Chat

A persistent chat room where all players can hang out between games.
  • Send text messages and GIFs (powered by Klipy)
  • Translate messages in real-time to your language (costs gems)
  • Reply to specific messages with threading
  • React to messages with emojis
  • Edit or delete your own messages

In-Game Reactions

During a game, express yourself without interrupting gameplay:
  • Emoji reaction bar — Tap predefined emojis that float across the screen for all players to see
  • Room chat — Open the floating chat button to send messages, emojis, and GIFs during the game
  • Quick reactions — Send floating message pop-ups visible to everyone

Player Profiles

Every player has a customizable profile:
  • Display name and avatar emoji (free set or premium packs)
  • Bio — Write a short description about yourself
  • Social links — Connect your TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter/X, Twitch, Discord, Reddit, Snapchat, Facebook, GitHub, and LinkedIn
  • Language preferences — Set primary and secondary languages
  • Last seen — Profiles show when a player was last active (e.g. “Last seen 2h ago”), so you know who’s likely around
  • Voting Habits — If a player has hosted any Rotating Judge rounds, their previous picks are visible on their profile
  • Public/Private toggle — Control whether your profile is visible to others
  • Web profile — Public profiles are viewable at acrophobia.app/player/{uid}

Kick & Host Controls

The room host can manage participants mid-game:
  • Kick Player — Remove a disruptive or AFK player from the room. A confirmation dialog appears before kicking.
  • Auto-Kick Idle — Optional setting that automatically removes players who don’t submit for a configurable number of rounds.

Report & Block

Keep the community safe:
  • Report players for inappropriate names, offensive answers, spam, or other reasons
  • Block players to prevent them from contacting you or appearing in your games
  • Unblock players anytime from your settings
